Northcroft & Cathay Pacific: Redefining Luxury Airport Lounges Worldwide
When it comes to premium airport lounges, few airlines can match the elegance, scale, and service of Cathay Pacific. With a strong presence in Hong Kong, mainland China, and key international hubs, Cathay Pacific offers some of the most luxurious and spacious lounges in the world. Cathay Pacific operates an extensive network of lounges worldwide, ensuring that its passengers enjoy exceptional comfort wherever they travel.
- Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA): 4 lounges (The Wing, The Pier, The Deck, The Cabin) – the largest and most numerous airline-operated lounges in HKIA.
- Mainland China: Lounges in Beijing, Shanghai (Pudong), Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xiamen, and more – often shared with partner airlines but offering Cathay’s signature hospitality.
- Worldwide: Key lounges in Tokyo (Narita), Bangkok, Singapore, London (Heathrow), Los Angeles, and Sydney.
No other airline dominates Hong Kong’s lounge scene like Cathay Pacific, with its lounges covering an estimated 10,000–12,000 sqm at HKIA alone – far surpassing competitors.
Northcroft Hong Kong Ltd takes immense pride in our long-standing partnership with Cathay Pacific. Since 2017, we have been entrusted with the refurbishment and expansion of Cathay Pacific’s premium lounges across Hong Kong, mainland China, and beyond.
Our Journey with Cathay Pacific: Elevating the Travel Experience
2017: The Beginning – Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA)
Our collaboration began with the refurbishment and expansion of the Cathay Pacific Business Class Lounge near Gate 16 at HKIA. This project marked the first step in our mission to redefine premium airport hospitality.

2018: Expanding into Mainland China – Shanghai Pudong International Airport
In 2018, we completed the renovation of Cathay Pacific’s lounge in Shanghai Pudong International Airport, enhancing its modern aesthetic while maintaining the airline’s signature elegance.

2025: A New Chapter – The Bridge Lounge & The Wing Lounge Refurbishment
Starting from 2020 the global outbreak of the Covid-19 coronavirus has devastated the travel industry. With borders sealed and demand evaporating, Cathay Pacific was forced to cancel majority of its flights and closed its airport lounges. However, with the official end of the pandemic in 2023, a powerful surge in demand for premium travel has begun. Eager to meet this new wave of expectation Cathay Pacific embarked on a multi-year upgrade program for its lounge facilities worldwide.
This year, we were honored to have completed the revitalization of Cathay Pacific’s The Bridge Lounge in Terminal 1 (near Gate 35). Originally opened in 2013, the space has been transformed with a contemporary design and cutting-edge amenities.
Our work continues with the phased refurbishment of The Wing Lounge, one of Cathay Pacific’s most iconic spaces, set for completion in 2025-2026.
Going Global: Northcroft’s Expansion with Cathay Pacific
Our partnership has now extended beyond Hong Kong and mainland China, with upcoming projects in key international hubs:
- John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), USA
- Narita International Airport (Tokyo), Japan
- San Francisco International Airport (SFO), USA
Our ongoing projects with Cathay Pacific reflects the airline’s trust in Northcroft’s quantity surveying capabilities to deliver exceptional world-class lounges globally.
